Alongside the unique view and the feel-good ambience, the Waldesruhe Nature Hotel has one more highlight to offer: directly at the foot of the hotel, along with a magnificent view of the mountains, there lies the first scientifically investigated power place in the world.
According to the scientist Karl-Heinz Kerll, earth rays are particularly intense at so-called “power places”. Intersecting water veins and earth radiation are often the cause for the particularly strong appearance of earth energy, such that even humans can feel them.
The power place in Oberstdorf was discovered in 1994 by the well-known Allgäu diviner Meinhardt. Just one year later, from 1995 to 2010, the scientist Karl-Heinz Kerll undertook the scientific measurement of the effectiveness of the power place. The Obserstdorf power place was investigated together with doctors, naturopaths, homoeopaths, radiesthetists/geomancists, the Max Planck Institute, the University of Stuttgart (Kirlian evaluation), as well as worldwide comparative measurements of already known power places.
While many power places such as Stonehenge in England, Lourdes in France and similar sites are nowadays world-famous, the Waldesruhe power place has a special significance due to it being the first to be scientifically investigated.
Located on the slope below the nature hotel and with a view of the Oberstdorf mountains, this site also provides the necessary privacy, so that every visitor can recharge with new energy in peace.
